Common car problems that RVS Technology® addresses 

1. What are cold starts and will your products help reduce/eliminate them?

Answer: Cold start is a phenomenon observed when an engine is started in cold weather - during the first few seconds, the oil is thick and oil pressure is low, and the engine is starved of oil - that causes parts inside to wear out due to the friction caused by lack of proper lubrication. The ceramic layer created by RVS Technology® protects the components inside an engine from this oil starvation because even without oil, the triboceramic layer is very slippery, thus minimizing the damage caused by cold starts.

2. Does RVS Technology® reduce the operating temperature of my engine?

Answer: Yes! Due to the lowered internal friction, the engine runs cooler after a RVS Technology® treatment. This can be beneficial in warm climates where vehicles are subjected to extreme heat.

3. In the event of a sudden drop in oil pressure or total oil loss, will RVS save my engine?

Answer: Yes. According to our tests and experinces, even a 100 ml (160 km) run without engine oil in a TV-program, the engines treated with RVS Technology® can survive total hazardous oil loss giving you enough time to notice the problem and to turn the engine off and avoid seizing.

4. My engine is blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. What is causing that and can RVS Technology® fix it?

Answer: White smoke tells usually of a blown head gasket. Unfortunately, that is not something that RVS Technology® can fix since the head gasket is not a part under friction - a necessary element for RVS Technology® to work. The only solution is to have the head gasket replaced.

5. My engine is blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust. What is causing that and can RVS Technology® fix it?

Answer: Blue smoke usually means that oil is entering the combustion chambers of your engine and is being burned. This can be caused by two main reasons - piston rings/cylinder walls may be worn and oil is passing through up on the piston top or the valve seals/sleeves are hardened or damaged. In the first case, RVS Technology® can definitely help, since it builds up on top of the cylinder walls and seals up the cylinders, stopping oil burn and improving power/performance. The only other solution is a total engine rebuild or replacement, and RVS Technology® will save you thousands of dollars. In the second case, RVS Technology® will not help since the valve seals are made of rubber and need to be replaced.

6. My engine feels tired and has low compression. I was quoted $1800 for a rebuild. Can RVS Technology® help?

Answer: Yes! RVS Technology® can definitely help. The low compression and lack of power are usually caused by worn out cylinder walls. The ceramic layer created by RVS Technology® seals the gaps and restores compression/power potentially saving you thousands.

7. My engine has noisy valves ("lifter-tick"). Can RVS Technology® help or fix that?

Answer: Yes! If your valves are adjusted properly and your engine still lifter-ticks you will notice quieter and smoother operation after the RVS treatment.

8. My engine is making a knocking sound that's coming from the bottom. Can RVS Technology® help?

Answer: It depends on the knocking. Knocking from the bottom of the engine is called "rod-knock" and is usually a sign of a worn or spun crankshaft bearing. This is normally fixed by a complete rebuild or engine replacement. RVS Technology® can help if the problem is detected in the early stages when the knocking is still faint and it's obvous that not much physical damage has occurred yet. If the knocking is very loud and pronounced, RVS Technology® won't help because by that time the physical damage may be too big and only rebuild or engine replacement are relevant alternatives.

9. I can't pass emissions. Can RVS Technology® enable me to pass?

Answer: Yes, it can! RVS Technology® reduces emissions significantly. Afetr RVS treatment, if your check engine light is off, you should pass emissions in most cases. However, if your vehicle's check engine light is on, then there is a physical problem with the O₂ sensor, catalytic converter, or some other component of the EGR system. This is a problem that can only be overcome by replacing the failed component. RVS Technology® will still significantly reduce the emissions, but regardless on that the emissions testing facility will not allow you to pass as long as the light is on.

10. I'm getting really bad gas mileage. Can RVS Technology® improve it?

Answer: Yes, it can! The reasons for high gas mileage can be numerous. Regardless of the reason, you will notice an improvement after a full RVS Technology® treatment. The reduced mechanical friction allows your engine to run more efficiently. The result is typically a 5-12% improvement in gas mileage, casewise even more.

11. My automatic transmission is slipping. Can your products save it?

Answer: If it's caused by a valve problem RVS may help, but if the transmission slips because the clutches inside of it are worn out RVS cannot help. The clutches have paper-kind of mass surfaces and RVS Technology® works only on metal parts. Sometimes the problem is caused by bad shifter solenoids, which is an electrical problem, and this case they need to be repaired/replaced accordingly.

12. If RVS Technology® doesn't fix slippage in an auto transmission, then how does it help?

Answer: There are many metal gears, bearings and valves as well as an oil pump inside automatic transmissions that benefit from the effects of an RVS Technology® treatment. Friction surfaces of these parts are treated and the friction between them is reduced, allowing your transmission to operate smoother and quieter. Internal heat production that burns the oil and is the main cause for transmission failure is reduced, extending the life of the oil and transmission itself.

13. My manual transmission gives some noise. Can RVS Technology® help?

Answer: Yes! RVS will coat and protect all gears and bearings inside from wear reducing heat and friction. You will find your gearbox operating more smooth and quite after RVS Technology® treatment. The effects are even more obvious when RVS Technology® is applied to motorcycles.

14. My differential makes a humming noise. Can RVS Technology® fix that?

Answer: Yes, it can! Differentials are usually simple transmissions that have several gears inside. The humming noise comes typically from a slight unevenness in the surfaces of these gears, caused usually by normal wear. RVS Technology® treatment will "repair" these surfaces to a certain extent, while also reducing friction and heat. The result is smoother and quieter operation.
